As an established and registered organization since 2013 we have given=
 over a decade of hope, love and understanding to many elderly and chi=
ldren who has faced the most terrible and heart wrenching times in the=
ir life=E2=80=99s, from loosing jobs, to loosing every last bit of clo=
thing, Children who has lost their parents and then parents who has lo=
st their children.

One story that stands out is that of young Marizaan, who is only 8 yea=
rs old and her brother 3 years old who has recently lost their father =
unexpectedly, at the time of his death, he was unfortunately still une=
mployed due to retrenchment in early 2024, he had no pension fund and =
no life policies, his salary did not allow for such as they were alrea=
dy living below the breadline, Marizaan, her brother and mom is stayin=
g with the grandmother, neither of the 2 adults can find permanent emp=
loyment, the grandmother is 76 and frail, Marizaan=E2=80=99s mother se=
ldom gets a day job as a cleaner for an office block and maybe 2 days =
a month she gets paid to clean the neighbors garden, this is barely en=
ough to feed 4 people. This is where we assist with monthly food parce=
ls not just for Marizaan=E2=80=99s family but for many others, this in=
 only one such sad and desperate cases but, countless families suffer =
every single day without having food or clothing. Numerous families en=
dure terrible living circumstances. Due to their parents limited finan=
cial means, many youngsters arrive at school exhausted, undernourished=
, and in extremely poor uniforms. Other children are so hungry they've=
 needed to resort to stealing food from others; some even steal more f=
ood just so that others in their family can eat.

We are currently dealing with a large number of child-run houses witho=
ut any source of resources, where the parent or grandparents has passe=
d away or abandoned the children, and the household that is left, no l=
onger even qualifies for a grant since the children are still under 18=
 or are not documented. It's strange to think that thousands of childr=
en have no place to turn after having lost a parent or guardian,

But that's exactly where we come in.

With our aid, the children are fed and clothed, the family is able to =
expand to the point where our help is no longer required, and we are a=
ble to go on to other families. As an organization, we are having trou=
ble raising the required funds given the situation in South Africa. Du=
e to the increasing number of job losses, we have to include additiona=
l food in our food packages so that the kids may continue to get enoug=
h to eat and maintain their strength.

This is where your help becomes crucial. We=E2=80=99re reaching out wi=
th an urgent plea to restore hope and joy to these children and their =

Did you know that more than 7 million children in South Africa go to s=
chool without breakfast? This is not just a statistic; it's a harsh re=
ality for countless families struggling to make ends meet.

By supporting our project, you're not just offering immediate relief=E2=

We realize the concern about birth control; we have an outreach progra=
m specifically for this, and that they should avoid having children. T=
ragically, over the years, many children who were not born into povert=
y, whose parents were middle-class wage earners and could afford to ha=
ve them four, eight, or even twelve years ago, are now unemployed and =
unable to provide for their children.


The Elderly suffers just as much, we have seen how children can turn t=
heir backs on a parent, leaving them behind or worse, elderly that get=
s abused by family members, caregivers, so many elderly being homeless=
 or stays in a cold back rooms, being cold and hungry rather than bein=
g abused by their own children, some elderly only receives a visit fro=
m their kids once a year with a parcel of food, but what about the res=
t of the time.
We provide food parcels, clothes, and bedding to the elderly. Most did=
 not have the choice to save up for their old age since they had to ta=
ke care of their children's needs before their own, and in these times=
, they are neglected by their children and relatives. The elderly that=
 do receive a grant can barely pay rent for a back room or garage as t=
his is already as high as R800-R1200 per month and it=E2=80=99s for th=
e greater part for broken down places with cement floors and sometimes=
 no windows and just horrific conditions.

The majority of the older people we help suffer from conditions or ail=
ments such as arthritis, hip replacements, back and neck disorders, as=
thma, COPD, and other chronic respiratory conditions. The elderly shou=
ld have comfortable clothing, healthy and nutritious meals, and, espec=
ially in light of the recent and frequent health crisis, sufficient vi=
tamins to enhance their immune systems.

We keep in contact and do general wellness checks on the elderly that =
we assist, we do not just give food and turn our backs, we focus a lot=
 of our time, love and care on their emotional support and safety as t=
his is a very important part of our work and something we strive on is=
 to be human and kind that is why we are doing this very important pro=
ject in the first place is because all of our board members and volunt=
eers are involved for the love of it and to work to make an impact tha=
t counts!

Please assist us in maintaining stable families and ensuring that the =
elderly feel valued and not forgotten. With the help of donations, we =
will be able to acquire food, mattresses and bedding, clothing, and sh=
oes for our initiative to help children and the elderly. Families with=
 children, the elderly, old age institutions, and orphans will all ben=
efit from this effort.
