An initiative to provide care for the young and elderly






The Elderly:  When we think of elderly care, we frequently picture eld=
erly people who struggle to get out of bed in the mornings, travel to =
the store, church, or hair salon, or who have trouble driving. Few peo=
ple are aware that many older folks have far more severe difficulties.=


It begins in the morning when you awaken in a chilly room with unclean=
 or no bedding, experience hunger, and don't have shampoo for your hai=
r (not to mention going to a hairdresser), They don't have hot water, =
they don't have R10 to go to the store for bread, they don't have bus =
fare, and they have trouble getting to church because they don't have =
clothing to wear.

We provide food baskets, clothes, and bedding to the elderly. Most did=
 not have the choice to save up for their old age since they had to ta=
ke care of their children's needs before their own, and in these times=
, they are neglected by their children and relatives. Some do receive =
a state pension, which is barely enough for rent.

It is heartbreaking to consider that a child who appears once a year p=
rovides a small amount of food, but what about the rest of the year? T=
he majority of the older people we help suffer from conditions or ailm=
ents such as arthritis, hip replacements, back and neck disorders, ast=
hma, COPD, and other chronic respiratory conditions. The elderly shoul=
d have comfortable clothing, healthy and nutritious meals, and, especi=
ally in light of the recent health crisis, sufficient vitamins to enha=
nce their immune systems.



Families with children: Countless families suffer every single day wit=
hout having  food or clothing. Numerous families endure terrible livin=
g circumstances. Due to their parents' limited financial means, many y=
oungsters arrive at school exhausted, undernourished, and in extremely=
 poor uniforms. Other children are so hungry they've needed to resort =
to stealing food from others; some even steal more food just so that o=
thers in their family can eat.

We assist with food packs, school materials,  clothing, blankets, and =
other basic essentials to families.

We provide assistance to families with children. By doing this, we pre=
serve the family structure and spare struggling parents the agony of l=
osing their kids. Sadly, we are at a crossroads in South Africa where =
individuals who had very little, to begin with, are unsure of what to =
do for tomorrow without any resources.

We solely work with families whose parents are determined to improve t=
heir children's lives and who might need a little assistance.

We are currently dealing with a large number of child-run houses witho=
ut any source of resources, where the parent or grandparents has passe=
d away, and the household that is left, no longer even qualifies for a=
 grant since the children are still under 18 or are not documented. It=
's strange to think that thousands of children have no place to turn a=
fter having lost a parent or guardian,=20
but that's exactly where we come in.

With our aid, the children are fed and clothed, the family is able to =
expand to the point where our help is no longer required, and we are a=
ble to go on to other families. As an organization, we are having trou=
ble raising the required funds given the situation in South Africa res=
ulting from the outbreak. Due to the increasing number of job losses, =
we will be including additional food in our food packages so that the =
kids may continue to get enough to eat and maintain their strength.

Others:  We also support individuals who want to help themselves by he=
lping them seek employment, which has grown to be increasingly challen=
ging given the state of the country. We make sure that young women are=
 using birth control and are aware of the consequences of having anoth=
er child.

Our mission is to increase awareness and additional children from bein=
g born below the poverty line.

Families that are unwilling to work or who are not mindfull enough to =
refrain from having further children are not eligible for our assistan=
ce.

Providing basic food parcels per family is costly, and we need sponsor=
s. Without your assistance, none of this would be possible.

The fundraising for this project will be done by asking for a R100 don=
ation. In return, you will receive a Hope Ribbon (Silver) and an invoi=
ce to claim back the tax.

Please assist us in maintaining stable families and ensuring that the =
elderly feel valued and not forgotten. With the help of donations, we =
will be able to acquire food, mattresses and bedding, clothing, and sh=
oes for our initiative to help children and the elderly. Families with=
 children, the elderly, old age institutions, and orphans will all ben=
efit from this effort.
